Terms of Service

Tokisto is a marketplace that connects fans (“Fans”) with public figures (“Celebrities”) through live video calls. Tokisto Technologies Private Limited (“Company”) is an intermediary under the IT Act 2000 and does not produce, curate, or endorse any content exchanged during calls.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tokisto. By registering, you confirm that:

• You are 18 or older
• You have a valid Indian mobile number
• You will use the platform only for lawful purposes
• The information you provide is accurate and complete

As a Fan, you agree to:

• Treat celebrities with respect during calls — harassment, abuse, or inappropriate conduct will result in immediate termination and a permanent ban
• Not record calls without the celebrity's explicit in-app consent
• Not share, resell, or broadcast any call content without written permission
• Pay for bookings as agreed — no-shows without cancellation forfeit the booking fee
• Not attempt to contact celebrities outside the platform using information gathered during calls

As a Celebrity, you agree to:

• Show up for confirmed bookings — you cannot cancel one, and missing a call refunds the fan in full, pays you nothing, and charges a 20% no-show fee to your wallet
• Maintain content standards — no sharing of third-party intellectual property, no illegal advice, no explicit content
• Keep your availability calendar updated to avoid fan disappointment
• Provide accurate identity and tax information (PAN) for payout and TDS compliance
• Not contact fans outside the platform using information gathered during calls

Fans: Booking fees are charged at the time of booking. The platform fee (included in the displayed price) covers payment processing, infrastructure, and support.

Celebrities: You earn 80% of each booking fee. Payouts are processed weekly via Razorpay Payout. TDS is deducted at 10% on annual earnings above ₹30,000 as required by Section 194-O of the Income Tax Act.

Platform Fee: Tokisto charges a 20% platform fee on all transactions.

See our Refund Policy and Call Terms for full details. In summary: fans are refunded in full, automatically, if a celebrity does not show up. Fans cancelling more than 24 hours before a call are refunded 80%; inside 24 hours, 50%. Cancellation closes 1 hour before the call, after which the booking stands.

All platform content (logos, UI, copy, technology) is owned by Tokisto. Call recordings, where created, are owned jointly by the fan and celebrity as per their sharing settings.

You grant Tokisto a limited licence to display your name and profile photo on the platform for discovery purposes. You may revoke this by deleting your account.

• Using the platform to solicit, harass, or threaten any user
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform
• Creating fake celebrity profiles or impersonating public figures
• Using bots, scripts, or automated tools
• Any activity that violates Indian law, including the IT Act 2000 and the IPC

Tokisto is an intermediary and is not liable for the content of calls, the conduct of participants, or any losses arising from use of the platform beyond the value of the applicable booking. Our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed ₹10,000 per user.

We may suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Sections 5, 7, 9 and 11 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka. We encourage resolution of disputes through our grievance process before litigation.
