Plain English summary: We collect your phone number to log you in. We collect your name and call history to operate the platform. We do not sell your data. Celebrity earnings and fan payment data are stored securely and used only for payouts and compliance.
1. Who We Are
Tokisto Technologies Private Limited (“Tokisto”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We operate the Tokisto platform — a marketplace for video calls between fans and celebrities — accessible at tokisto.com and through our mobile applications.

2. What We Collect

3. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To facilitate bookings, payments, and payouts
- To send booking confirmations, and call reminders by WhatsApp or SMS if you ask for one
- To deduct TDS for celebrity earnings above ₹30,000/year (as required by Indian Income Tax law)
- To personalise your Clips Feed and celebrity recommendations
- To detect and prevent fraud and misuse
- To comply with legal obligations under the Information Technology Act 2000, IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, and applicable Indian tax law
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Razorpay — payment processing
- Fast2SMS — OTP delivery, and call reminders when WhatsApp cannot carry them
- Agora.io — video call infrastructure
- Cloudinary — media storage
- WhatsApp Business API (Meta) — call reminders, only if you ask for one
- Law enforcement — only when required by a valid court order
All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. On account deletion:
- Profile data is deleted within 30 days
- Transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian GST law
- Call recordings are retained for as long as your account exists, so that either participant can watch a call back. Neither of you can view a recording unless you both consented to it, and either of you can withdraw that consent at any time, which closes every link to it immediately
6. Your Rights
Under applicable Indian law and global best practices, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
- Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer

7. Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal cookies — only what is essential for authentication and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings without affecting core functionality.
8. Children's Privacy
Tokisto is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately and we will delete the account.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will notify registered users via WhatsApp or SMS at least 14 days before making material changes to this policy. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
